Use this form if you鈥檙e a deputy appointed by the Court of Protection and the person you鈥檙e acting for (your 鈥榗lient鈥�) needs help with the cost of the following Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) deputy fees:

• 拢100 deputy assessment fee
• 拢320 general supervision fee
• 拢35 minimal supervision fee

You can apply for an 鈥榚xemption鈥� or a 鈥榬emission鈥�.

Exemptions

If your client receives certain means-tested benefits, you won鈥檛 have to pay any deputy fees 鈥� this is called an 鈥榚xemption鈥�.

The qualifying benefits are listed in the form guidance.

Remissions

If your client鈥檚 income before tax is less than 拢12,000 a year, you may only have to pay 50% of the deputy fees 鈥� this is known as a 鈥榬emission鈥�.

You can鈥檛 get a 鈥榬emission鈥� for a minimal supervision fee.
