The government set out the need for greater transparency across its operations to enable the public to hold public bodies and politicians to account. This includes a commitment relating to public expenditure, intended to help achieve better value for money.
As part of this transparency agenda, the Department for Education and its arm鈥檚 length bodies (ALBs) publish spending over 拢25,000 as a minimum. Data for the previous month is published by the last working day of the current month.
