Budget Revision Notice

The budget for聽CfD聽Allocation Round 5 (AR5) has been revised. The final budget for AR5 is 拢227 million, which is an overall increase of 拢22 million. This is an increase of 拢20 million in pot 1 and 拢2 million in pot 2.

Budget Notice and accompanying note

The Budget Notice sets out the parameters that apply to聽CfD聽Allocation Round 5. The budget available in the AR5 auction will be 拢170 million for Pot 1 (established technologies) and 拢35 million for Pot 2 (emerging technologies). The Pot 2 budget is inclusive of a minimum ringfence of 拢10 million for Tidal Stream projects. This results in a total budget of 拢205 million. Pot 1 delivery years are 2025 to 2026, 2026 to 2027 and 2027 to 2028. Pot 2 delivery years are 2026 to 2027 and 2027 to 2028.

Allocation Round Notice

The Allocation Round Notice confirms the key dates for聽CfD聽Allocation Round 5, including a commencement date for the round of 30 March 2023 and a closing date of 24 April 2023.

Framework Notice

This notice states which Allocation Framework is applicable to聽CfD聽Allocation Round 5.

Standard Terms Notice

This notice sets out the figures that must be used by the Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC) to complete the appropriate Standard Terms (CfD contract), which is individualised for each successful project.

Counterparty Costs Notice

CfD聽applicants may apply to the聽CfD聽Counterparty (LCCC) to request 鈥榤inor and necessary鈥� modifications to the聽CfD聽contract. This notice sets out the threshold above which the costs likely to be incurred by聽LCCC聽as a result of the modification would not be considered 鈥榤inor鈥�. We have set this threshold at 拢19,000 for聽CfD聽Allocation Round 5.
