Details

These reports give an overview of the progress made on identifying and remediating contaminated land under Part 2A of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. They cover progress from 2000 to 2013.

They are published as part of the Environment Agency鈥檚 statutory duty under Part 2A to publish 鈥榝rom time to time鈥� a report on the state of contaminated land in England and Wales. From 1 April 2013, the Environment Agency鈥檚 responsibilities in Wales were transferred to .

The Environment Agency prepares the reports using information collected from local councils. They also used their own information on special sites which they regulate under Part 2A.
