The Office for Product Safety and Standards commissioned Ipsos MORI to provide evidence on people鈥檚 attitudes towards and behaviours around using fireworks in the UK.
A mix of quantitative and qualitative research was undertaken between November 2019 and March 2020. This included:

8 ethnographic interviews with participants attending organised public displays and 5 ethnographic interviews with participants hosting a private fireworks display

10 telephone depth interviews with fireworks 鈥榬ejectors鈥�, defined as those who do not like and actively avoid fireworks

7 telephone depth interviews with industry stakeholders representing import, retail and industry associations

a quantitative face-to-face survey with 1,969 adults in Great Britain
