A public consultation is seeking views on a proposed cockle FMP.
The cockle fisheries management plan (FMP) covers relevant stocks in English waters.
Defra聽is preparing the聽FMP聽in partnership with the Association of Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities (AIFCA). AIFCA is collaborating with the relevant Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities (IFCAs) and with other organisations and stakeholders with an interest in the fishery.
The cockle FMP聽will be prepared and published to meet the requirements set out in the Fisheries Act 2020.
