The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has responded to the independent review by Professor Michael Waterson of consumer protection measures in the online ticket resale market.

The response focuses on Professor Waterson鈥檚 findings and recommendations in relation to:

  • legality of terms restricting a consumer鈥檚 right to resell a ticket
  • secondary ticketing platforms鈥� compliance with information requirements in consumer protection law
  • issues for the primary ticketing industry, including use of 鈥榖ots鈥�
