The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has responded to the consultation, led by the Scottish Government.
The CMA鈥檚 response highlights the importance of putting the licensing regime on a statutory footing. The response also notes the proposed code of practice aligns with the findings and remedies set out in the CMA鈥檚 funerals market investigation final report and Funerals Market Investigation Order 2021.
