This letter provides information to local billing authorities and stakeholders on the government鈥檚 proposals in the white paper 鈥楲ocal growth: realising every place鈥檚 potential鈥�. The paper confirms the government鈥檚 intention to consider the scope to allow councils to retain locally raised business rates. The letter also provide details of additional changes to the rating system.
