This report provides a simple guide to Biodiversity 2020 and an update on progress so far.

Biodiversity 2020 is a national strategy for England鈥檚 wildlife and ecosystem services; it was published in summer 2011. It sets out the government鈥檚 ambition to halt overall loss of England鈥檚 biodiversity by 2020, support healthy well functioning ecosystems and establish coherent ecological networks, with more and better places for nature for the benefit of wildlife and people.

You can keep up-to-date with the latest news on Biodiversity 2020, including how local conservation groups can contribute to halting overall biodiversity loss in line with the national strategy, by following the site and the Twitter account. A range of material is also available on website.
