Report into whether teacher assessment at the end of the early years foundation stage gives a valid measure of a child's development.

The report is part of the 鈥榖etter communication research programme鈥�. The research used data from teachers鈥� assessments of children starting school between 2006 and 2010.
The early years foundation stage (EYFS) sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old.
