This report identifies a fresh 拢2 billion growth opportunity for UK component suppliers. It assesses the 鈥榬eshoring鈥� potential for 鈥榰pstream鈥� automotive suppliers. In other words, the capacity for the UK to increase local supply of components and raw materials which are currently imported.

The 拢2 billion figure comes on top of 拢3 billion identified for supply direct to vehicle manufacturers in this earlier report: 鈥�Growing the automotive supply chain: the road forward - 2012 update鈥�.
