Apply for a transcript of a judge's sentencing remarks

Use this form to ask for a free written record (known as a transcript) of a judge's sentencing remarks in a Crown Court homicide or serious sexual offence case.

Details

You can receive a free copy of a judge鈥檚 sentencing remarks if:

  • you are a family member of a victim of homicide (murder, manslaughter or offences of causing death on the road, such as dangerous driving) or
  • you are a victim of rape or sexual offences and
  • the defendant was found or pleaded guilty and was sentenced by a Crown Court judge

If you are not eligible to apply for a free copy of the judge鈥檚 sentencing remarks, or you want a longer court transcript, you can apply using Form EX107. You may have to pay costs.
