Before sending your application to de-register for the Duty Stamps Scheme, return all unused freestanding (Type A) stamps in your possession, or in the possession of anyone you鈥檝e authorised to act on your behalf, to the HMRC appointed print contractor. To arrange for collection, call the Contractors Customer Support line on Telephone: 0845 121 4411.
Once you鈥檙e de-registered, you are no longer authorised to incorporate the label stamp (Type B) design specification into labels. HMRC advises you to destroy all copies of the (Type B) design specification in your company鈥檚 possession, or the possession of anyone you鈥檝e authorised to act on your behalf.
This will stop someone using the specification fraudulently in your name.
