This statement by the Committee on the Medical Effects of Air Pollutants (COMEAP) updates earlier advice ( and ) on how to estimate respiratory and cardiovascular hospital admissions associated with short-term exposures to nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and particulate air pollution (PM). Recommendations for quantifying hospital admissions associated with ozone (2015 report) remain unchanged.
