Amdipharm Mercury Company Ltd complained about an email advert for Prednisolone Domp茅 1mg/ml oral solution produced by LogixX Pharma sent to subscribers of GP Online in April 2015. The complainant alleged that the advert was misleading because it stated that the product was:
- 鈥渟补蹿别鈥�
- a comparable, generic oral solution, alternative to the prednisolone 5mg soluble tablets but the product was not indicated for doses above 30mg
- 鈥�36% cheaper than prescribing prednisolone 5mg soluble tablets (mg/mg)鈥� but this could not be substantiated for all doses
MHRA upheld the complaint. LogixX Pharma promptly withdrew the advert and related material and made changes to correct the information.
