Mr Benyon left his role at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in July 2024.

Chairman and Director, Englefield Estates Trust

Mr Benyon sought the Committee鈥檚 advice about taking up a role with Englefield Estates Trust. The containing the Committee鈥檚 consideration and the conditions imposed on the appointment was sent in October 2024 and the appointment was taken up in November 2024.

Lord Benyon left his previous role as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Natural Environment, Water and Rural Affairs in October 2013, before re-joining government. The Committee鈥檚 correspondence to Lord Benyon following his previous departure from government in 2013 is also listed on this page.
