Access to transport is considered in relation to:

  • personal car access
  • bus service availability near to home
  • rating of local public transport
  • concessionary bus pass holding

Life opportunities are considered in relation to:

  • being in paid employment (for those of working age)
  • job security (for those in paid employment)
  • personal income (for those in paid employment)
  • ability to access services
  • ability to go out socially

Wellbeing is considered in relation to:

  • feeling under strain
  • poor mental health
  • dissatisfaction with life overall
  • loneliness, specifically among the population aged 50 and over
