Details

The annual Taking Part user event was held on 28 November 2012.

There were 6 presentations by users of the Taking Part data as well as a panel session on the future of participation measurement.

Taking Part is the key evidence source for DCMS and was commissioned primarily to provide a single evidence source on participation in culture and sport.

The survey is currently used to measure and inform departmental indicators, inform the development and impact of DCMS policy, and to understand the drivers and barriers of participation in cultural and sporting activities.
