Suzanne Newton
Biography
Suzanne Newton was appointed HMRCs Director General for Change Delivery Group in January 2024, having been HMRCs Director General for Strategic Change since February 2023.
She is also Chief Project Delivery Officer (CPDO) for HMRC and the departmental Carers鈥� Champion.
Before her current role, Suzanne was the Home Office鈥檚 Chief Portfolio Officer and Head of the Project Delivery Profession.聽She has also worked as Transformation Director at the Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA).
Suzanne has spent most of her career at HMRC, undertaking a wide range of roles that include inspecting Income Tax accounts, policy and strategy work, private office work, and a review of the Valuation Office Agency. She has also led several of HMRC鈥檚 high profile programmes, including Tax-Free Childcare and Real Time Information for PAYE.
