John Davie has been Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Asunci贸n since June 2020.

Prior to this, John worked in a joint FCO and Home Office unit focusing on international counter terrorism, after having served in a number of London-based FCO policy roles in the Europe Directorate and Asia Pacific Directorate.

John holds an MSc in Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA (Hons) in Politics and International Relations from Loughborough University. Before joining the FCO in 2016, John worked for a political consultancy firm in London.
