Jean-Christophe Gray

Biography

Jean-Christophe Gray is the Interim Chief Executive Officer of the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority (NISTA).

Prior to this, Jean-Christophe was a member of the Strategic Defence Review Expert Team, and before that Director General of the No10 and Cabinet Office Delivery Group. He has spent most of his career in HM Treasury, including five years as Director Public Spending with responsibility for Defence, Education, Home Office and Ministry of Justice and Devolved Administration expenditure.

His roles on secondment outside of HM Treasury include Prime Minister鈥檚 Official Spokesperson (2013-15) and Private Secretary and Head of Household to HRH The Prince of Wales (2021-24).

Jean-Christophe was appointed a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) in the New Year鈥檚 Honours 2016 and a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO) in His Majesty The King鈥檚 Birthday Honours 2024.

Interim Chief Executive Officer

The Chief Executive Officer leads the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority, which reports jointly to the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

This includes overseeing the National Infrastructure and Construction Pipeline, which contains projections of 拢600bn of public and private infrastructure investment, and supporting the Government鈥檚 Major Projects Portfolio, which contains around 150 of the Government鈥檚 most complex and high-risk projects. The Chief Executive Officer also leads the professionalisation of the Project Delivery community in Government.
