戴偉紳先生（Mr Brian Davidson）於2021年7月就任英國駐香港及澳門特別行政區總領事。
戴偉紳於1985 年加入英國外交部，曾派駐中國北京、廣州和上海，以及立陶宛和澳洲，最近之海外任命為英國駐泰國大使。在英國期間，戴偉紳曾於內閣辦公室擔任分析員，分析國際恐怖主義，亦曾借調到倫敦國際金融服務公司擔任副行政總裁。
戴伟绅毕业於英国剑桥大学，获法律学学士学位。他能说普通话和法语，亦略懂立陶宛语和泰语。
戴偉紳於2014 年，與丈夫張志鵠成為首批在英國駐華大使館結婚的同性伴侶。他們育有三名孩子。
