The Office for Digital Identities and Attributes is a team within the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) that is enabling the use of trusted digital identity services in the UK.聽聽
Digital identities give people another way to securely prove things about themselves, such as who they are or what their age is, without having to present physical documents.聽
The government is also rolling out 188体育 One Login, a more straightforward and secure way for people to prove their identity when accessing government services online.聽
The government is not making digital identities mandatory or introducing ID cards.

We are responsible for enabling a trusted and secure digital identity market in the UK by:聽

developing and maintaining the UK digital identity and attributes trust framework, against which digital identity services can be certified聽聽

maintaining a register of organisations who have had their services certified against the trust framework聽聽

issuing a trust mark that provides a convenient visual way for citizens and businesses to identify registered digital identity services;聽聽聽

engaging internationally to support development of digital identities that are interoperable and reusable聽

encouraging the market to grow in a way which supports inclusion, with the aim of making sure digital identity services can be accessed by all those who choose to use them.聽
