UK to work closely with Colombia on new agenda

While in Colombia, Foreign Office Minister for Latin America Jeremy Browne attended the inauguration of the new President.

At his inauguration, President-elect Juan Manuel Santos gave a speech setting out priorities for Colombia, including security, educational prospects and the environment.

In a video message recorded after the speech Jeremy Browne describes the speech as 鈥渋nspirational鈥� and that it 鈥渂odes very well for Colombia鈥�.

Today the Minister continues his visit to Colombia where he will make a speech promoting UK-Colombia business links and championing Colombia鈥檚 potential to become a global environmental power.
