It will also help build the resilience of affected communities to future shocks.
The UK Government welcomes Saudi Arabia鈥檚 $274 million donation to the UN Flash Appeal for Yemen, announced on 18 April 2015, which will help to meet immediate needs for 50% of Yemenis in need of assistance over the next three months.
The UK continues to urge all parties to the conflict to adhere to international humanitarian law, including allowing unfettered access for humanitarian agencies to deliver humanitarian supplies, and allowing the sick and wounded to access health services.
