Publication of the UKBA report "Common Travel Area: Review of New Arrangement at Northern Ireland Sea Ports"
The Scotland Office Minister David Mundell has welcomed聽the publication of the UKBA report

聽The Scotland Office Minister David Mundell MP today commented on 聽the publication of the UKBA report, Common Travel Area: Review of New Arrangement at Northern Ireland Sea Ports.聽 He said:
鈥淥ver the past 18聽 months UKBA and Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary have worked 聽collaboratively on the policing of Stranraer Ports. 聽This report highlights how their combined efforts have ensured that a greater number of illegal immigrants have been intercepted in their attempts to travel onto mainland UK.
鈥淕oing forward it will be very important that UKBA continues to monitor working operations 聽carefully. 聽Later this month, I look forward to visiting both UKBA operations in Northern Ireland and meeting with Dumfries and Galloway Police and other interested stakeholders in Stranraer to see this ongoing work for myself and discuss the issues raised by the report.鈥
