Passports and visas

Please check your passport and visa details:

• you do not need a visa to travel to Italy but you must have a valid passport
• remember your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) which will be essential for your stay or for transiting through Italy
• please ensure you take out good travel insurance - it could save you a lot of money if you get into difficulties
• in Italy it is obligatory to carry ID with you at all times
• it is advisable to bring with you a copy of your passport biodata page, should you lose or have your passport stolen
• if you lose your passport, or have it stolen, you will need to obtain an Emergency Travel Document (ETD) from the British Consulate in Rome which is 1 - 2 hours by train
• you will need to supply a police report, flight reservation and one photo; the fee is 120 euro

Getting to the stadium

• official meeting point for Arsenal Supporters is between 17:00 - 18:30 at the Naples Cruise Terminal Port area Molo Angioino
• special shuttle buses will be laid on from the port area to transfer Arsenal supporters to the San Paolo stadium
• journey time by bus is around 45 minutes
• alternatively there are the metro and regular buses that travel from the city centre/Port area/railway station to the stadium (please visit the for detailed information, as bus lines and itineraries might be suppressed at short notice
• nearest metro station is on line two and the Cumana lines
• journey time by bus from the city centre is around 45 minutes; please note that Naples public transport service usually terminates at 10pm

At the match:

Advice for when you鈥檙e at the match:

• access to the stadium might be slow; there will be ticket checks and you should have your passport with you; body searches may take place at the entrance to the turnstiles
• to avoid a last minute bottleneck you should aim to arrive at the stadium early
• no glass and plastic bottles, cans, poles, drums, megaphones, flares and pyrotechnics
• diabetic supporters can be allowed half a litre of water as medication provided that they produce documentary evidence of their condition are allowed into the ground
• alcohol is banned within the stadium and the surrounding area
• Arsenal supporters will use the stadium Gate 26 for entrance; they will be issued with tickets indicating their names
• supporters will be asked to show their original passport which will be checked against a list of registered supporters provided by Arsenal
• the majority of registered Arsenal supporters are expected to arrive on the day of the match and return to the UK by commercial flights the following day
• please refer to the for detailed information about ticket booking and travel package
• coaches and buses at the Port Meeting point area will be organised to transfer supporters from the city centre to the stadium
• as a public safety measure, Arsenal supporters are likely to be held back for approximately 30 minutes after the match final whistle
• shuttle buses will escort them back to the city centre/Port Meeting point; supporters should allow 1 -1.5 hours for this

Tips

Helpful tips for the local area:

• Naples has a high rate of petty crime; as in any other city beware of pickpockets and bag snatchers at airports, railway stations, around the town historical centre (the Spanish quarters) and when using public transport
• only carry what you need, leave spare cash and valuables in hotel safety deposits and never leave valuables or anything on show in cars
