Foreign Secretary condemns terrorist attacks in Israel and the OPTs
Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond condemns terrorist attacks in Jerusalem and Al-Arroub and highlights need for calm.

Speaking today Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said:
I condemn the appalling terrorist attacks that took place in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories yesterday. An attack in East Jerusalem, when a car was driven into pedestrians killing one person and seriously injuring a number of others was followed by a second attack in Al-Arroub injuring three soldiers. My thoughts are with everyone affected.
I remain deeply concerned by the growing tensions in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, including the violent clashes at Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount on Wednesday morning in which a number of Palestinians were injured. Every Israeli and Palestinian has a right to live in peace and security. It is therefore vital that all those with influence now work together to restore calm.
