Foreign Secretary bilateral with the Palestinian Foreign Minister

Speaking after the meeting the Foreign Secretary said:

鈥淚t was a pleasure to meet the Palestinian Foreign Minister Dr Riyad al Malki. We discussed the persistent challenges of achieving lasting peace in the Middle East and I reiterated the UK鈥檚 firm commitment to a two state solution with a Palestinian state living in peace alongside Israel.

鈥淲e agreed that the anniversaries of 2017 serve as a stark reminder that all parties must redouble efforts to reach a negotiated solution which delivers dignity and prosperity to all the people in the region.鈥�
