Reacting to the bomb blast at a school in Brindisi, southern Italy, Minister for Europe, David Lidington said:

鈥淭his was a deplorable act which has hurt and killed innocent people .To plant a device outside a school is a horrific thing to do and our thoughts and sympathies are with the families of those affected by this bomb.鈥�
