FCO Minister condemns Bahrain attack

Minister for the Middle East Tobias Ellwood condemns attack on police officers in Sitra, Bahrain.

Mr Ellwood said:

I strongly condemn the attack against police officers in Sitra, Bahrain, this morning, which resulted in the deaths of three people and seriously injured several others. I offer my sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims.

The UK鈥檚 relationship with Bahrain is longstanding and we are working closely with the government of Bahrain to enhance our security cooperation, tackle the threat from terrorism, and support Bahrain鈥檚 reform programme.
