Moves to fast-track the roll-out of superfast broadband - essential to the UK鈥檚 economic future聽 - are to be announced today by Culture Secretary Maria Miller.
A swathe of red tape holding up the delivery of broadband infrastructure is to be swept away,聽clearing the way for the UK to have the fastest broadband of any major European country.

Government is investing 拢680 million to ensure the UK has the best superfast broadband in Europe by 2015 and will also work with mobile operators, local government and other interested parties to consider ways that the planning process might be streamlined to speed up the deployment of mobile infrastructure.
