The International Book Fair in Guayaquil, Ecuador has paid tribute to the centenary of Roald Dahl鈥檚 birth this month. The Fair organisers and the British Embassy set up an interactive area called 鈥楧ahl-land鈥�, where children and adults learnt more about the life and work of the celebrated writer. One of the highlights of the five day Fair was daily public readings from 鈥淢atilda鈥� for visiting children.

The International Fair was opened by the Mayor of Guayaquil, Jaime Nebot, and the Ambassador also attended. The guest of honour at this year鈥檚 Fair was Nobel laureate, J M Coetzee.
