CDE Innovation Network event: 22 September 2016, London
The Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE) held a networking event for science and technology providers in London on 22 September 2016.
The event took place at the in London.
Jim Pennycook, Head of Operations at CDE, introduced CDE and give an overview of proof-of-concept research funding opportunities for innovative science and technology providers.
Technical experts from Dstl (the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory) provided specific information about the themed competition: 鈥榤any drones make light work鈥�. This competition has up to 拢1 million available for fully funded phase-1 projects.

Bruce Hardie, CDE Technology Manager briefed on what CDE is all about, our funding opportunities and how to work with us.
In addition, Bruce also talked about how to create a great CDE proposal for CDE funding.
Attendees were able to book a face-to-face meeting with CDE and Dstl subject matter experts to discuss potential proposals to the 鈥榤any drones make light work鈥� themed competition or the 鈥榓utonomy in hazardous scene assessment鈥� themed competition
There were networking opportunities with other potential bidders, current Dstl suppliers, CDE, Dstl and military experts.
