British Embassy Montevideo "Leader for a Day" 2024 competition

The Embassy celebrates International Women's Day by promoting the inclusion and empowerment of women.

The British Embassy in Montevideo is once again offering the opportunity to be 鈥淟eader for a Day鈥�.

The British Ambassador, Faye O鈥機onnor, together with leaders from across Uruguayan society, will offer the chance of sharing a day of activities on March 8 with young women who are interested in developing their network of contacts.

The objective is to promote greater representation of women in leadership positions, giving them the opportunity to learn about the work of outstanding professionals, and to connect with top-level leaders.

How to apply?

  • Read the terms and conditions .
  • Complete the form .
  • Applicants must send a video of up to 1 minute answering the question in Spanish: 鈥淗ow would you promote women鈥檚 inclusion in leadership positions?鈥�

A team from the British Embassy will make the selection.

Requirements

  • 18- 29 years-old, female applicants, Uruguay residents from all over the country.
  • Available to spend the day with a leader on March 8, 2023 (or if not possible for the leader, on another day during the month of March to coordinate between both parties).
  • Available to attend the launch event in the morning of March 7.

Successful candidates will be notified on February 26.
