British Ambassador, Sir William Patey鈥檚 Statement on Parliamentary crisis

Responding to yesterday鈥檚 announcement by President Karzai on the Parliamentary crisis, Sir William Patey said:

鈥淲e welcome the Presidential decree which provides the opportunity for the conclusion of the parliamentary crisis. We鈥檝e always stated the final decisions should rest with the Independent Election Commission . We now look forward to the IEC completing their work as soon as possible, and Parliament resuming its normal work鈥�.
