Monitor's Clinical Advisory Forum
The Clinical Advisory Forum will provide expert advice to Monitor鈥檚 Patient and Clinical Engagement team.
The Forum will help to inform Monitor鈥檚 policy and operational decisions on a wide range of issues, such as its approach to poorly performing providers and the NHS payment system.
It will form an important component of Monitor鈥檚 patient and clinical engagement strategies, helping to inform:
- a better understanding of the clinical impact of Monitor鈥檚 work
- the appropriate use of the regulatory powers available to Monitor
- delivery of Monitor鈥檚 strategic objectives
Membership
The Forum will be made up of foundation trust medical directors and chief nurses.
Ruth May and Stan Silverman will join Monitor鈥檚 Patient and Clinical Engagement team in the near future and will be part of the Forum.
