The government鈥檚 response to the Turkey call for input is included in the UK鈥檚 approach to negotiating an enhanced free trade agreement with Turkey.

We received submissions from 212 respondents representing a broad range of stakeholders from across the UK. We are considering these responses as we develop our approach to negotiations and will publish a full response to the Call for Input before commencing negotiations with Turkey.

Please note that the official name of 鈥楾urkey鈥�, is the Republic of T眉rkiye, however, for the purposes of the call for input documents 鈥楾urkey鈥� is used throughout.

We want to know:

  • what you think about our current trading arrangements with Turkey
  • where we could make changes or improvements
  • where you are facing challenges or constraints when attempting to trade with Turkey

We will use this information to help inform our approach for starting negotiations on a new free trade agreement (FTA) with Turkey in the future.
