The government is carrying out a review of the EU鈥檚 competences. The review will provide an analysis of what the EU does and how it affects the UK. See this detailed guide for full details of the review programme.
The Home Office and the Department for Work and Pensions are jointly leading on the report on the free movement of persons in the third semester of the review.
The call for evidence for this report was launched on 16 May 2013, seeking views on how competence is used and what that means for Britain from individuals and groups with an interest or experience in these areas; it closed on 5 August 2013.
