Consultation description

In June 2012, the government published its response to the Modern Workplaces: Equal Pay consultation, which sets out our commitment to introduce regulations for mandatory equal pay audits in the specific circumstances where an employment tribunal finds a clear breach of equal pay law.

This consultation explores further the details of equal pay audits and the likely contents of impending legislation which, it is hoped, will come into force in 2014.
