Consultation description

The purpose of the proposed Regulations is to bring up to date the UK鈥檚 transposition of the International Maritime Organization鈥檚 (IMO) International Load Line Convention (ILLC) and the International Load Line Protocol (ILLP) into domestic law. At the same time, it is proposed that they will introduce Ambulatory Reference with the Regulations to incorporate any future amendments to three technical annexes to the Convention/Protocol (the detail which is of a more technical nature) of the ILLC/ILLP into UK law by reference on an ongoing basis, instead of transposing it provision by provision.
