The Department for Transport has published a summary of responses and government response to this consultation on widening the Blue Badge eligibility criteria. Our proposals will ensure that equality issues are addressed and that there is parity for people with physical and non-physical disabilities.

Consultation description
We are proposing changing the eligibility criteria for the Blue Badge scheme to include people with non-physical conditions.
This is part of the government鈥檚 objective is to ensure that those people with the greatest need have access to badges, whilst ensuring the scheme remains sustainable.
Note that the online response system offers the option to print or save a copy of your response for your own records when you鈥檝e completed it.
