Over 拢4 million from the Levelling Up Fund has been awarded to renovate the last remaining Picturehouse in Northern Ireland.
Restoring The Strand
Funding will renovate the Strand, a historic Picturehouse in East Belfast. It will be transformed into a versatile arts space.
Restorations to The Strand include:
- three flexible spaces for live theatre and music performances and film
- two drama and dance studios
- rooms for activities such as filmmaking, animation, music and DJ production
- a rooftop view looking over East Belfast
- a new cafe and bar
