Over 拢19 million to transform Stirling city centre聽(Levelling Up Fund 2)
With funding from the Levelling Up Fund, Stirling Council will be able to deliver 2 projects in the city worth 拢19 million. This will build on the 拢5 million investment through the City Region Deal.
Unlocking the Forthside site
The Forthside area, to the east of Stirling city centre, will be regenerated. The former Ministry of Defence site will be made ready for future development. Future regeneration will provide:
- commercial space and new job opportunities for local people
- new housing
Better connecting Forthside to local communities
Funding will also help better connect the Forthside site to local communities, with improved active travel routes.
