Nearly 拢150,000 for Cliftonville Cultural Space
拢148,792 was allocated to Cliftonville Cultural Space in Thanet in December 2022 from the UK Community Ownership Fund to improve the old Margate Synagogue.
The Synagogue ceased to be a place of worship in 2017 and was bought by members of the community in 2020 to repurpose the building as a community space.
The funding will allow vital structural repairs to be completed. The organisation hope the building will be聽used by a range of community groups and as a venue for cultural events.
