拢300,000 for The Roxy Collective
拢300,000 was allocated to The Roxy Collective in South Lakeland in December 2022 from the UK Community Ownership Fund.
This funding will support the Collective to secure the purchase of the Art Deco Roxy building in Ulverston, Cumbria, which currently houses a cinema and the Laurel and Hardy Museum, a project known as 鈥楾he Future of the Roxy鈥�.
The Roxy Collective plans to:
- renovate and repurpose the spaces currently in use to make them more accessible
- install a lift for the cinema
- provide additional facilities
This will ensure the building is better equipped to deal with the community鈥檚 increasing needs.
