拢20 million to transform Selby Centre听(Levelling Up Fund 2)
拢20 million from the Levelling Up Fund has been awarded to Haringey Council to transform the Selby Centre in Tottenham into a new 鈥榰rban village鈥�, including new community and leisure facilities.
State-of-the art Community Space听听
The new Urban Village will offer state-of-the-art community facilities, purpose-built to support the activities of 60+ community enterprises, projects and training providers.听听
The space will offer:听听
- multi-purpose offices听
- a new community cafe and community hall听听
- soft play areas and a creche听
- a boxing club for young people听听
Leisure facilities听听
Levelling Up funding will also transform Bull Lane Playing Field into a new sports and leisure hub, which will include:听听
- a four-court sports hall听听
- a floodlit full-sized artificial grass pitch for football and rugby听听听
- two junior grass football pitches听听
- an artificial non-turf cricket pitch听听
- a multi-use games area听听
Community park听听
An inclusive new community park will also be developed, which will promote health and wellbeing in the community. The park will include:听听
- a new adventure playground听听
- communal planting and food growing areas听听
- new paths to encourage active travel and improve connectivity听听
The new Selby Centre, sports and leisure facilities and park are phase 1 of the council鈥檚 scheme to transform Selby.听听
