The Office of Rail and Road (ORR) is carrying out an independent review of train operators鈥� revenue protection practices.
In this call for evidence ORR would like to hear from people who, for whatever reason, boarded a train without a ticket, or with an invalid ticket, or were told by staff this was the case. You may have been required to: 聽
- buy a new ticket for your journey or pay an additional fare
- pay a penalty fare, which included the cost of a new ticket
- face prosecution by the train operator
- face another action by the train operator
