You鈥檒l need to:鈥�

  • have 6 months seagoing service while holding a marine engine operator licence (MEOL) on vessels of at least 200 kW

  • pass the Maritime and Coastguard Agency鈥檚 (MCA) oral examination to become a SMEOL

How long it lasts鈥�

Your SMEOL does not need to be renewed.
